Stolen eggs - Bug or am I missing something - Guild Wars Forums

I have run up against a brick wall - I cant seem to get the stolen eggs mission.

Can someone tell em the order / place of missions that lead up to it. Cause I believe I have done them all.

I have the whole of the jade see mapped up to the entrance of the hatchery.
( maatu keep, Boreas Seabed, Bail Passu Reach, Zos Shivros Channel, Cavalon, Beaker hollow, Jade Flats & Quarry, Aspenwood Gate / Fort, Eredon Terrace.

I am allied with luxon with 375/10,000 and transfered 11561 into alliance. I have no missions left to complete in any of the towns/outposts. (do I possible have to get back up to 10,000 ?)

I have read the wiki but it says see Rhea (along with the gatekeeper) - she does not have any other missions for me.
THis has me stumped for 3 days now.....

Befriending the Luxons? That's a quest you have to do from Rhea that requires you to have 10k Luxon Faction. After you finish that quest she offers you Stolen Eggs.

You have to pass the befriending the luxons quest, yes its 10,000 faction. After you accept you will get the quest.

Well this problem is rather rampant. It is not your fault , but you have to talk to Elder Rhea in Cavalon while you have 10k luxon points in your posession. Several of my guild members have domne the same thing as you, turned in the points as soon as they got them to hel;p out the alliance we are in not knowing that to get the Egg quest they must have 10k luxon points on them when theyb talk to Elder Rhea. This is not a bug just something that the makers of guild wars neeeds to address to make it more clear in the description of Befriending The Luxons that you need to have the points on you when you see elder rhea again. It is an honest mistake that a lot of players have done so dont feel bad. I hope this helps.

It's a primary quest for a reason..

I replied to this on the other thread you had posted on about the Hatchery, but just in case you don't see it there, here is the reply again:

I had exactly this problem when I was mapping Cantha. I walked/fought to Cavalon rather than taking the quests as my character was already Kurzick. Once at Cavalon Elder Rhea had nothing to say to me, and when I fought my way to the Hatchery without taking any quests the gatekeeper would not let me in. It took me two days to work out what I needed to do and I tried everything including making my guild Luxon alligned.

The solution though is simple and has already been posted. (Added: On the other Hatchery thread)

Go back to Matu Keep. Talk to Jamei and take the quest "To Cavalon". Map to Cavalon and complete the quest. Then go and find Elder Rhea, who will then talk to you. You will then be able to take the Befriending the Luxons Quest, and subsequently (once you have obtained the 10K Luxon faction) she will offer you the Stolen Eggs quest.

So - finally I got my 10k fraction back, now heres the status
10k in luxon fraction.
0 in kurzicks fraction
Only have mapping the forest in my quests left (jade sea done)

checked back with Jamie - no quest there in fact nowhere anywhere on the map can I pick up any quests.
Its gotta be something simple I'm missing

If you have 10k Luxon faction, talk to Elder Rhea in Cavalon while you have the unspent faction points. She will reward you for Befriending the Luxons and give you the Stolen Eggs quest which will then take you to the next mission in the storyline on the Luxon side.

Do you remember doing the quest where at the cutscene at the end, Togo and Mehenlo split and one goes to the Kurzicks and one to the Luxons. At the end of the quest Togo says.. "You too have to choose a side".

If not then try going to and speaking to the Emperor's Hand at Raisu Pavillion. It sounds like you have the primary quests missing that you need to complete before Jamie will talk to you. I think the quest is called Battle in the Sewers.

I'd thought of this, but if you read CharrHugger's original post, he says he's mapped most of the Jade Sea right up to Gyala Hatchery, so he must have already done what you suggest in order to get into Cavalon and hence, out the other side

I think he actually walked/fought/explored his way there rather than got there by following the story line. My son had a similar problem.

At least if we can establish if Charrhugger remembers doing this quest, then we can backtrack from there and find the place that he needs to pick up the storyline from again.

Yes 10K Luxon Faction, should be fairly easy, since Luxon has 80% chance winning Alliance Battle.

No you don't.

To OP: Have you done the Sunjiang District mission yet ? You need to do that to continue the story line before getting To Cavalon from Jamie. It is possible to get in Cavalon without this, so this may be what you did.

Nope, impossible. The only way to get in Cavalon is with the quest Jamie gives you, the only way to get the quest is to finish Sunjiang District, and you can enter it by going to the outpost above Cavalon and getting a quest from a NPC.

No you don't have to talk to jamei to get into cavalon. I had the same problem with my first canthan character, got lost on the story line and couldn't find the next primary quest. So in trying to find it I mapped out most of the jade sea trying to figure it out. And yes I made it into cavalon without talking to jamei, only to be frustated by still not finding the primary quest. I ended up back tracking, finally talking to the emporers hand again, and finally getting the next quest. Now when ever I hear people asking how to get the next quest, I always take time out to tell them. I couldn't get anyone to answer me, and it was beyond agrivating. Anyway that's my 2 gp.

I always get a kick out of people saying something is impossible when I or others have already done it. After the Boreas Seabed mission, you can get into Cavalon by going through the explorable areas from Zos Shivros to Cavalon.

For the OP, since you obviously completed Boreas Seabed, you probably entered Cavalon via the method above. What you need to do is pick up the primary quests to continue the storyline from Zos Shivros. I believe it is City Under Attack, which leads to Battle in the Sewers. These quests take you to the Sunjiang District mission. Completion of this mission leaves you at Maatu Keep, with Jamai (or whatever the name is) waiting to give you 2 quests: To House Zu Heltzer and To Cavalon. The To Cavalon quest will get Elder Rhea in Cavalon to talk to you and give you the Befriending the Luxons quest. Then follow instructions as posted above about the 10k faction and the Stolen Eggs quest to get into Gyala Hatchery.

cant remember city under attack of hand but I have done battle in the sewers (take the guards to meed a captain??)
As for getting to cavalon I walked/explored/fought my way around the map (60% explored)
I must be missing the primary quest because I also have no quests showing in the kurzick side.

Been back to the emporors hand and got - Naga oil (off looking for pelts and found 'Lost Treasure'

15 more atribute points - very welcome , Also found a quest about a hired assasin.
So THanks for the tips, least I know I'm not crazy.
lost quests probably stem from the fact I abandoned some after going over to Tyria and playing it from Ascalon through to fire Island (67% explored there ) and getting swamped in my quest log.
Will work through the 3 I got showing now and report back if I get stuck again.
